Following the consultation Robert Halfon Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education wrote to the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) to confirm that designation will be removed on 31 March 2023.

Consultation description

The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) has announced that they will no longer consent to be the designated quality body (DQB) after 31 March 2023.

The consultation is specifically on de-designation, not who should be the DQB in future. The Office for Students may consult on future arrangements.
