Paused Inspections

  1. Intelligence Inspection

    Work on this inspection began on 9 January 2020, with a ‘call for evidence’ released via the ICIBI website on 3 April 2020. On 7 September 2020 the Independent Chief Inspector informed the Home Office of his decision to pause the inspection as it was not possible to carry out essential fieldwork due to Covid-19 restrictions. A note of the initial findings from the inspection has been sent to the Home Office and the Chief Inspector will review whether to recommence the inspection when circumstances permit, taking account of other inspection priorities at that time and any changes made to BICS intelligence functions in the interim.
