The reports summarise 6 waves of research undertaken by Kantar on behalf of the Department for Transport.
Waves 1 to 5 were collected prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic; Wave 6 data was collected in August 2020.
This research is part of the Future of Transport programme, which aims to shape transport innovation and secure the UK’s position as a leader in the transport sector of the future.

The variable urbanisation_3bands has been updated in the data set for waves 1 to 3 combined, within the 'public attitudes tracker wave 3 data set, dictionary and tables' zip file. This follows identification of a coding error that meant urbanisation was being incorrectly derived for 1,225 cases in the wave 3 data (35% of all interviews included in the wave 3 data).
