UK Seafood Fund: Infrastructure Scheme

This guide is for people interested in applying for the Infrastructure Scheme of the UK Seafood Fund.

About the Infrastructure scheme

At least £65 million in grant funding is available through the Infrastructure Scheme. The scheme will fund projects that build capacity across the UK fishing sector supply chain through investment in:

  • ports
  • processing
  • aquaculture infrastructure

This is a competitive scheme. To get funding, you must bid for a grant.

Each successful applicant will be awarded a minimum of £250,000 and maximum of £5 million.

The Infrastructure Scheme is part of the UK Seafood Fund.

Who can apply

You can apply for funding if you’re involved in fishing, processing or aquaculture and are:

  • an organisation, business or charity
  • a trade association
  • a public body or local authority with a focus on activities including ports and using funds for environmental improvements or management of fisheries
  • a consortium
  • an officially recognised producer organisation

When you can apply

The scheme opens for applications at the end of March 2022. The application form and supporting documents will be available from this page.
