Clinical Excellence Awards renamed Clinical Impact Awards

The national Clinical Excellence Awards have become the national Clinical Impact Awards. Our home page will be updated shortly to reflect the name change.

For more information on the reforms and changes to the awards, see the joint consultation response from DHSC and the Welsh Government.

Who this guidance is for

The applicants’ guide is for NHS consultant doctors, dentists and academic GPs applying for a new national Clinical Impact Award in 2022.

We are in the process of finalising updated guidance for employers, nominators and assessors for the 2022 awards round which will be published shortly.

The employers’ guide is to help employers who are supporting an application for an award.

The nominators’ guide is for national nominating organisations, recognised by ACCIA, who are providing a supporting citation for an application.

The assessors’ guide is for anyone assessing applications for a national Clinical Impact Award.
