Around 500,000 British tourists visit Malta every year. Most visits are trouble-free.
Malta will be hosting a Papal visit on 2-3 April. There will be road closures and disruption to public transport, including the ferry to Gozo. Monitor local media and factor in extra time to your journey when travelling.
