This paper explains the government’s international qualified teacher status (iQTS), with information for:

  1. Replace ‘Introducing the international qualified teacher status pilot’ with ‘Introducing international qualified teacher status’, in preparation for wider roll-out of iQTS. Updates provide information for providers who wish to offer iQTS, candidates who wish to take part and schools who wish to offer placements.

  2. Added Canterbury Christ Church University to providers offering iQTS.

  3. Removed e-Qualitas from the list of providers as it has withdrawn from the pilot.

  4. Updated with details of the providers who have been appointed to deliver iQTS from September 2022.

  5. Updated to reflect that applications to become pilot providers have now closed.
