Your premises must be approved as a confined establishment by the competent authority in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), Jersey and the Isle of Man if you’re exporting or moving captive-bred birds to the EU and Northern Ireland for:
- exhibitions
- education
- conservation
- research
Confined establishments are permanent premises, such as zoos or laboratories.
The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) is the competent authority in Great Britain.
