Two posters for land managers and local authorities to use in areas that have outbreaks of avianbird influenzaflu in wild birds.

Poster 1: bird flu has been detected in this area

This poster says:

  • keep to the footpath

  • keep dogs on leads

  • do not feed wild waterfowl

  • do not pick up or touch dead or sick wild birds

  • do not touch wild bird feathers or surfaces contaminated with wild bird droppings

  • if you keep poultry or other birds, wash your hands and clean and disinfect your footwear before tending to your birds

  • please report deada wildsingle waterfowlbird (swans,of geese,prey or(including ducks)owls), 3 or othermore dead wild birds,waterfowl such(swans, asgeese, gullsor ducks) or 5 or more dead birds of preyother species to Defra’s GB helpline: 03459 335577
