2023 to 2024 schools and high needs additional allocations

This table shows the local-authority level 2023 to 2024 DSG allocations of the schools block and high needs block, additional funding for the high needs block, and indicative allocations of the mainstream schools additional grant (MSAG).

You can also view the methodology for the allocation of MSAG on the GOV.UK page

DSG allocations 2023 to 2024

Please note that the DSG allocations tables in ‘View latest funding’ will go live later today.

Accessed via the funding service, these show how much funding each local authority will receive in 2023 to 2024, and how that funding has been calculated.

Please note that the DSG payments schedule is changing from the 2023 to 2024 financial year to one payment per month, except in March when there will be 2 payments.

About the DSG

Read the technical note to understand how we calculate the DSG allocations.

Read the DSG conditions of grant to find out more about how the grant should be used.

The DSG growth calculations values tables give details of the 2023 to 2024 financial year growth calculation, which forms part of the schools block in the DSG allocations.

We will shortly publish a pupil number tool for you to see how many pupils are allocated to each local authority.

Additional high needs allocations

We have also published additional high needs funding allocations at local authority level, following the autumn statement announcement of extra funding for high needs.

Please note that these allocations are included in the DSG high needs block allocations shown in the DSG published allocations 2023 to 2024, above, and are subject to an additional condition of grant appended to the DSG conditions of grant.
