Applications to open a new special free school closed on 21 October 2022.

Local authority applications successfully submitted by the deadline will now be assessed against the published criteria. We’ll publishannounce detailsthe forsuccessful proposerlocal groupsauthorities wishingin toearly apply2022.
We’ll then seek applications to run new special free schools in the successful local authority areas shortly.areas.
Applications to run the new pre-approved special free school in Bury closed on 21 October 2022.
If you submitted your application forms correctly to fs.applications@education.gov.uk, you should get an acknowledgement email within 5 working days of the closing date.
Applications successfully submitted by the deadline will now be assessed. We’ll announceinvite the successfulgroups proposerwith groupthe instrongest dueapplications course.to interview.
