This guidance note applies to businesses that transport dangerous goods by road, rail or inland waterways.
It helps you to understand:
- if you need to appoint a dangerous goods safety adviser (DGSA)
- the responsibilities of the DGSA
- how to train the DGSA
This guidance was published in May 2016 and revised in June 2022. It is due for revision in June 2025.
