Details
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) published the Adverse Weather and Health Plan (AWHP) on 27 April 2023. The Plan brings together and builds on the previous Heatwave Plan for England and the Cold Weather Plan for England.
This guidance is currently under review. More information will be published on GOV.UK in May 2023.
The AWHP is underpinned by the Weather-Health Alert System developed by UKHSA in partnership with the Met Office.
The content of these alerts is aimed at health and social care organisations and other professionals that work with individuals or communities who may be affected by hot or cold weather.
