The purpose of this document is to:
- provide applicants and other interested parties with guidance on the application of the Regulations
- explain the administrative procedures that will be used by government in reaching justification decisions
The Justification of Practices Involving Ionising Radiation Regulations 2004 were amended by the Justification of Practices Involving Ionising Radiation (Amendment) Regulations 2018.
The Regulations, which implement European Directive obligations, provide a framework in which justification decisions will be made.
