There is an issue impacting the national non-domestic rates (NNDR) claims service and we are working to resolve it.

We will post an update on this page once the service is available and provide a revised deadline for claims.

Claim template 2023 to 2024

Billing authorities who are implementing the centralised payment process must complete the 2023 to 2024 claims template and return to ESFA via the NNDR service which will go live on 3 April 2023.

  1. We have added a 'call to action' box on the National non-domestic rates: guidance for billing authorities GOV.UK landing page to advise billing authority users that the service is currently experiencing issues which we are working hard to resolve.

  2. We have updated section 3 of the national non-domestic rates for billing authorities: form guidance 2023 to 2024, to clarify the following deadlines: - submitting a new claim: 11:59pm on 22 May 2023 - submitting in year adjustments: 11:59pm on 31 January 2024.

We have updated the NNDR claims template for billing authorities. Key changes are: * Property hereditament name of school, ratepayer/liable party removed * 3 additional columns added (N to Q)
