British Ambassador presents Letters of Credentials

Newly appointed British Ambassador Stephen Conlon presented his Letters of Credentials to His Excellency the President of Turkmenistan.

His Majesty’s Ambassador Stephen Conlon presented his Letters of Credentials to His Excellency the President of Turkmenistan Mr Serdar Berdimuhamedov on 24 May.  They enjoyed a productive discussion on bilateral relations between our two countries including on education, climate change and trade opportunities. 

His Majesty’s Ambassador said afterwards:

I was pleased to meet His Excellency the President again following our recent meeting in the United Kingdom at the time of His Majesty The King’s Coronation. I look forward to the many new opportunities and unique experiences my time in Turkmenistan will bring.  

Newly appointed British Ambassador Mr Stephen Conlon presented copies of his Letters of Credentials to the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mr Vepa Hajiyev

Earlier in the week, on Monday 22 May, Stephen Conlon called on the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mr Vepa Hajiyev to present copies of his Letters of Credentials.  

During the meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs they discussed a wide range of matters of bilateral interest, including climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, trading relationships and high level visits that will build upon relationships formed in the recent visit to London of His Excellency President Mr Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
