These funding instructions set out the conditions under which local authorities may claim reimbursement of costs for supporting and caring for unaccompanied asylum seeking children.

  1. New document detailing additional funding for 2023-24 has been added.

  2. New documents have been added: Unaccompanied asylum seeking children funding instructions to local authorities 2023 to 2024; leaving care funding instructions to local authorities 2023 to 2024.

  3. Updated the UASC funding instructions to local authorities 2022 to 2023 and the Temporary additional funding - National Transfer Scheme and added an additional funding sheet.

  4. Replaced the Funding Submission Sheet with an updated version.

  5. Added the new document Temporary additional funding - National Transfer Scheme.

  6. Changed all references to "Annex A" to "Funding submission sheet", updated years throughout, updated wording in section 6.10 of the UASC funding instruction and added Funding submission sheet as an attachment.

  7. 'Temporary amendment to UASC funding to local authorities: 2 July 2020' removed as document is out of date and no longer required as an instruction for UASC and leaving care funding.

  8. Updated section 10 and section 11 to the Leaving Care Funding Instructions and section 11 and 12 to the UASC Funding Instructions documents.

  9. Updated UASC funding instructions to local authorities and leaving care funding instructions to local authorities for the 2021 to 2022 financial year.

  10. Added temporary amendment to UASC funding to local authorities.

  11. Updated for 2020 to 2021 financial year

  12. Leaving care funding instructions to local authorities 2019 to 2020 updated with changes to the timetable.
