The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (TRPR) require all producers of tobacco products and herbal products for smoking to give the government certain information before they can be sold in the UK. This includes product information, ingredients and emissions.
This guidance provides information on notifying these products to the UK government. The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) is the UK competent authority for managing and publishing notifications for tobacco and herbal products for smoking.
This guidance is for:
- businesses that manufacture tobacco or herbal products intended for smoking
- businesses that put their name, trademark or similar on tobacco or herbal products intended for smoking indicating they are the manufacturer or originator
- anyone importing tobacco or herbal products intended for smoking into the UK
This guidance includes a list of all correctly notified tobacco and herbal products for smoking, identifying the manufacturer or importer, product type, brand and brand sub-type (where provided).
OHID aims to ensure that all products listed on this page comply with the TRPR and the Standardised Packaging of Tobacco Products Regulations 2015.
Any products that appear on this list that do not comply with the appropriate legislation are not permitted to be sold in the UK. This list should not be taken as evidence to trade in any non-compliant products.
