Information for schools and initial teacher training providers about a pilot scheme offering international relocation payments to eligible:
- non-UK trainee teachers in languages and physics
- teachers of languages and physics from outside the UK
The scheme is running as a pilot in the 2023 to 2024 and 2024 to 2025 academic year.years.
International relocation payments are one of a number of measures announced in the schools white paper Opportunity for all: strong schools with great teachers for your child.
Other measures to attract the best teachers from around the world to come and work in English schools include:
- a new approach to awarding QTS to overseas teachers
- a package of bursaries and scholarships also now available for non-uk candidates in priority subjects
There are also other financial incentives which support recruitment and retention in priority subjects including the levelling up premium.
