Attack in Arras 13 October

An individual was fatally stabbed and a number of people injured on Friday 13 October, at the Lycée Gambetta in Arras, northern France. The attacker has been detained. Police are advising people to stay away from the area. Follow the advice of local authorities.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations in France

There have been some pro-Palestinian demonstrations in France related to events in Israel and Gaza. The French government has banned such demonstrations. French authorities have increased security around Jewish community sites. Stay aware of your surroundings, stay away from demonstrations and follow the advice of local authorities.

Strike action 13 October

Strike action in France on Friday 13 October may affect some rail and air services. Check with your travel operator before starting your journey. A demonstration is planned in Paris in the afternoon, moving from the Place d’Italie (in the 13th arrondissement) to the Place Vauban (7th arrondissement). Stay away from demonstrations and follow the advice of local authorities.
