Consultation description

The Animals (Penalty Notices) Act 2022 provides the government with powers to introduce penalty notices in England for relevant animal health and welfare offences.

We want to know your views on the range of animal health and welfare offences that could be covered by penalty notices. We are also seeking your views on how penalty notices should work in practice.

We will use your feedback to ensure the related statutory guidance that we publish is clear and transparent to enforcers and the general public.
