Pupil premium (PP) grant provides additional funding for state-funded schools in England to raise the educational attainment of disadvantaged pupils. Schools and local authorities must follow the terms and conditions set out in the pupil premium conditions of grant.
Allocations

Allocations will be confirmed in June 2024. The June allocations will include pupil referral units and alternative provision academies that complete the January 2024 tocensus.
The 2025school level pupil premium allocations published on GOV.UK are accurateonly andthe wedeprivation willFSM6 nowelement publishof the initial allocations weekand do commencingnot 6include Maythe 2024.pupils listed below as this data is suppressed due to data protection guidelines:

Thelooked-afterconditionschildrenof(LAC),grantincluding previously looked-after children (PLAC) -
pupils recorded on the alternative provision (AP) census as receiving free school meals

This is the case every year. Schools can confirm all the pupils included in the ESFA allocation and technicalwhich documentselement haveof beenfunding amendedthey attract via the Get Information About Pupils (GIAP) site. GIAP can be accessed via DFE sign in
There are 2 ways to reflectobtain this.PP data within GIAP - via the pre prepared data downloads tab located in the top menu or via a search on pupils in the pupil premium screen located in the top menu.
Please note that the ‘previously looked-after’ flag will not be reassuredincluded thatin the search results when using the pupil search as this willinformation is not impactintended to be passed between schools. Data relating to previously looked-after children (PLAC) can only be viewed via the timelinepupil premium data download. These children are referred to as ‘adopted from care’ on GIAP.
Pupil premium funding for paymentslooked-after inchildren June(LAC) (foris paid direct to the local authorities)authority. andThese pupils will appear in Julythe (forschool’s academies).download file on GIAP but with the ‘PupilPremiumCashAmount’ shown as zero. They are referred to as Children Looked After (CLA) on GIAP. Schools should contact the virtual school head at the local authority regarding the pupil premium funding for LAC.
