During the weekend of 1-2 June, during the Presidential Investiture, the Salvadoran government has warned of an increased threat of disruption, including potential violence from non-state actors. Several planned attacks have already been disrupted by the Salvadoran police, but risk remains. British Nationals in El Salvador are advised to exercise increased caution over the weekend of 1-2 June. Avoid large public gatherings and monitor local media for updates on any disruptions.
