UK Visas and Immigration guidance for staff responsible for screening, deciding and managing asylum applications from individuals who have:

  • a visa (or electronic visa waiver) to come to the UK

  • applied for a UK visa

  • applied for a visa to go to the Republic of Ireland

It covers:

  • the central reference system (CRS) and visa application forms (VAFs)

  • screening and routing actions

  • casework actions - file receipt, interviews, decisions and recommendations

  • visa match scenarios
