Register for the Horizon Convictions Redress Scheme (HCRS)

Confirm your eligibility for financial redress under the Horizon Convictions Redress Scheme (HCRS).

You may be able to apply for financial redress if you were wrongly convicted of a crime because of the Horizon IT system used by the Post Office. This means we will pay you for your losses.

The HCRS is not open yet. You’ll be able to register on this page when the opening date is confirmed.

Who can register

You’re eligible for the HCRS if you’ve had a conviction quashed (which means it has been overturned) by either the:

You may get a letter telling you if you’re eligible from:

  • the Ministry of Justice if you’re in England or Wales
  • the Justice Directorate in Scotland if you’re in Scotland
  • the Department for Justice if you’re in Northern Ireland

You may get this letter before the scheme is open.

You can still register if you think you’re eligible for the scheme but you’ve not got a letter.
