Driving licence letters
Letters explaining UK driving licence laws. Sometimes called information notes.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office provides standard letters to explain UK laws to local authorities when you’re abroad.
If you’re asked to confirm the UK laws aroundabout driving licences and tests,tests download the relevant letter. You can get a signed and stamped version of a letter, which costs £50. If your country or territory is not listed use the ‘All countries and territories’ letter.
