Warnings and insurance

The UK does not recognise Taiwan as a state and has no diplomatic relations with Taiwan, so limited consular services are available to British nationals. Please refer to the British Office in Taipei for further information.

Typhoons

Typhoon Kong-Rey is expected to cause hazardous weather conditions in Taiwan between Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November. Its current trajectory will see heavy rainfall affecting areas in the south, north, north-east and east of Taiwan, with most other areas also seeing heavy rain.
