Request environmental protection equipment

Fire and rescue services in England can use this service to request a pump service or environmental protection equipment from the Environment Agency.

Applies to England

Requests for equipment received between 9 December 2024 and 11 January 2025 will be processed from 13 January 2025.

For urgent requests, phone 087 0850 6506.

Before you start

You need to know the:

  • delivery address for where you want the equipment delivered
  • address for where the pumps are located if you’re requesting a pump service
  • name, contact number and email address of the person receiving the equipment

After you’ve sent a request

The Environment Agency will process your order and send you a confirmation email.

When you receive the order, you must send an email to the Environment Agency to confirm receipt within 5 calendar days. Send the email to: frs.orders@environment-agency.gov.uk

Request equipment that is not listed

If equipment you need is not listed, email frs.orders@environment-agency.gov.uk and provide a:

  • full description of the item
  • brief explanation of why you need it

The Environment Agency will:

  • check the suitability of the equipment
  • decide on whether to provide the equipment, and add it to the catalogue
