From 1 April 2025 the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) has been appointed by the Secretary of State as a certification scheme under the Regulations.
This document sets out the process by which the Secretary of State will decide whether to approve a certification scheme under the Clean Heat Market Mechanism Regulations 2024 (regulation 6).
It includes guidance for potential applicants on how to apply and demonstrate compliance with scheme requirements. The details of any certification scheme which is approved under this regulation will be published here.
