Details

The Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS) will protect the safety and interests of the UK by improving the understanding of activity taking place in the UK at the instruction of a foreign state or certain foreign state‑controlled organisations. It is contained within part 4 of the National Security Act 2023.

The FIRS online registration service will be available from 1 July 2025 when FIRS comes into force. This guidance includes how to:

  • submit a registration
  • check if a registration has been made
  • provide evidence that information should not be made public

It also details how to find more guidance and support.

Always check this page for the latest guidance as it may change before FIRS comes into force.
