The CMA has produced draft guidance on its role and powers related to consumer protection. The draft guidance updates and, once finalised, will replace the existing guidance.
We have provided an update about this consultation and next steps in the CMA’s new consumer enforcement regime. Final revised guidance will be published before 6 April 2025.
The draft guidance provides a summary of the CMA’sCMA’s consumer investigatory and enforcement powers and functions, including updates introduced by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
