Details
This regulatory position statement (RPS) does not change your legal requirement to have and comply with an environmental permit for a waste operation when you burn or incinerate waste following an animal disease outbreak or infection identified by the Animal and Plant Health Agency.
However, the Environment Agency will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with these legal requirements if you meet the requirements in the RPS.
The regulatory position does not apply to any other legal requirements.
Updates to this page
-
Updated this regulatory position statement (RPS) so it also covers incinerating straw, manure and litter from an animal disease outbreak (which used to be covered by RPS 34). Updated the RPS conditions and its next review date.
