Details

This code of practice provides guidance on the procedures that must be followed when the Security Service, the Secret Intelligence Service and the Government Communications Headquarters wish to exercise the powers in part 7A to retain, or retain and examine, bulk personal datasets that have low or no reasonable expectation of privacy.

It should be read alongside part 7 and part 7A of the Investigatory Powers Act, and the explanatory notes.
