Details

This document sets out DfE’s position on the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) – including educational technology tools powered by generative AI and large language models such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot – in the education sector.

It is aimed at schools and colleges, with a particular focus on AI use in compulsory education. However, many of these considerations will also be relevant to other educational stages.
