Updated the product categories to include category 15: vapes and electronic cigarettes to reflect Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Amendment, etc.) Regulations 2025. This new category includes the following: vapes or any item of EEE which is intended to form part of a vape, electronic cigarettes or any item of EEE which is intended to form part of an electronic cigarette and heated tobacco products or any item of EEE which is intended to form part of a heated tobacco product. Removed 'vape, e-cigarette or heated tobacco product refills, if there are no electrical functions or parts' from non-EEE product examples.

Updated the guidance to clarify that waste upholstered domestic seating is not covered by the WEEE regulations due to the presence of persistent organic pollutants (POPs).

We have added 'If you have an item that you need help to categorise, please contact your compliance scheme or regulator for help.' We have included clearer definitions of furniture that needs electricity to work properly and fridges using ammonia. We have added new items to category 1 (stairlifts), category 3 (cards with chips, and USB memory sticks and drives), category 9 (electric vehicle charging points with monitoring or other smart features) and category 10 (electric vehicle charge points with basic charging function only). We have also added items to the list of non- EEE product examples.
