T29: carbon filtering non-hazardous pesticide washings

T29 exemption allows youfarmers, landscapers and other land managers to treat non-hazardous pesticide washings byproduced carbonduring filtrationtheir before disposing of them to land. work.

This exemption is in band 3. Read waste exemption charges to find out what the charges and charging bands are.

Pesticide washings treated this way are less likely to damage the environment when discharged to land, compared to untreated pesticide washings.

  • ensure that no pesticide washings (treated or untreated) can treat get into drains, watercourses or onto land

Sealed drainage means the Listsystem ofhas Wastesan (LoW)impermeable Regulations.surface Youso needthat:

  • all liquids entering the system are collected in a sealed sump, unless they can be lawfully discharged

Quantity of waste you can treat

You can store or treat up to 8,000 litres of waste over any 24-hour period.period. This is the maximum amount allowed.
