Pesticide washings treated this way are less likely to damage the environment when discharged to land, compared to untreated pesticide washings.

TypesConditions 

You ofmust: 

• treat and store waste youin the same place that the pesticides were used 

• ensure that no pesticide washings (treated or untreated) can treat get into drains, watercourses or onto land 

• Thecarry wasteout codestreatment areof thosethe listedpesticide washings in a sealed carbon filtration unit with sealed drainage 

Sealed drainage means the Listsystem ofhas Wastesan (LoW)impermeable Regulations.surface Youso needthat: 

• no toliquid makewill surerun youroff wastethe fitssurface, withinexcept via the relevantsystem 

• all liquids entering the system are collected in a sealed sump, unless they can be lawfully discharged

Quantity of waste you can treat

You can store or treat up to 8,000 litres of waste over any 24-hour period.period. This is the maximum amount allowed.
