The postgraduate teaching apprenticeship is an ITT route that combines paid work with off-the-job training, qualifications and progression. It allows candidates to train to become qualified teachers.
Updated the 'Conditions of grant' section of the 2025 to 2026 funding manual. An apprentice on a full-time postgraduate teaching apprenticeship should be employed full-time for a minimum of 9 months.
Updated the list of eligible subjects in 'Initial teacher training bursaries funding manual: 2022 to 2023 academic year' to include engineering and food technology as part of design and technology.
Updated 'Conditions of grant' in the 2019 to 2020 funding manual.
