Statement of the G7 Non-Proliferation Directors Group, 20 August 2025

In this statement, the G7 Non-Proliferation Directors Group recognises significant challenges to global security. These include Iran’s developing nuclear program, Russia’s continued war against Ukraine, evolving biological threats and implications of emerging technologies.

Despite these challenges, the G7 remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining peace and security by fostering dialogue and cooperation, and upholding international arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation efforts.
