Withdrawn LRWP 89 as it has been replaced by the regulatory position statement 'Scattering or burying pet ash at a pet cemetery: RPS 310'.

‘Storing and recovering waste animal bedding from pet retail outlets: LRWP 25' has been withdrawn as there is no information to suggest it is needed.

Removed 'Storing pet cremation ash at a veterinary practice before the owner collects it: LRWP 34' as the pet cremation ash is not considered to be waste as it has not been discarded.

Added 'Scattering or burying ash at a pet cemetery: LRWP 89'.

We have made a minor change to LRWP 39, to clarify that, subject to Animal and Plant Health Agency approval, both domestic dead pets (which are excluded from the Waste Framework Directive) and dead wild animals (which are controlled wastes) can be stored together under LRWP 39 pending disposal. We have changed the wording of the LRWP from referring to dead wild animals only, to dead animals. We have also added a condition to require registration of the storage facility with the Animal and Plant Health Agency under the Animal By-Products Regulations.
