Joint Service Publication 464 is the overall and definitive policy source document for the provision of Service family accommodation (SFA), single living accommodation (SLA) and the substitute equivalents on a worldwide basis and takes primacy on all accommodation policy matters.

From 11 July 2019 it is also the definitive policy for the provision of the Future Accommodation Model (FAM) pilot.
