On 23 October 2024, Natural England submitted a report to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out proposed changes to the approved route of the King Charles III England Coast Path at Corton and Dunwich Heath in Suffolk. These are sections of the Aldeburgh to Hopton-on-Sea stretch.

Objections willwere be passed to an independent planning inspector who willmade make a recommendation to the Secretary of State about each one.
