If you're an existing Local Authority Treescapes Fund (LATF) grant holder, use these forms and guidance to submit a claim. The LATF is closed for applications.

The Local Authority Treescapes Fund (LATF) is closed.
Submit an LATF claim
Complete the relevant forms:
- LATF pre-planting claim form
- LATF post-planting report and claim, read the post-planting report guide
- LATF maintenance claim form (annually for 3 years following each year of planting), see more on final maintenance claims
- a signed non-RDPE claims declaration form (for all claims)
Email completed LATF forms, supporting evidence, and the declaration form to LATF@forestrycommission.gov.uk.
Claims deadlines 2024 to 2025
Round 4 deadlines
Pre-planting claim 1 should be submitted upon receipt of a formal LATF ‘offer of funding’ and must be submitted before midnight on 31 March 2025.
Post-planting claim 2 must be submitted once year 1 planting is complete and before midnight on 31 March 2025.
Round 3 year 2 planting deadlines
Pre-planting claim 3 should be submitted after 1 April 2024 and must be submitted before midnight on 31 March 2025.
Post-planting claim 4
Post-planting claim 4 must be submitted before midnight on 31 March 2025.
Maintenance claims deadline
Maintenance claims (rounds 1 to 3) must be submitted between 1 October 2024 and 31 March 2025 (by midnight). We cannot accept maintenance claims submitted before 1 October of the financial year in which they are due.
Round 1 final maintenance claims
Round 1 final maintenance claims (for year 1 trees) must be submitted by 31 March 2025.
You need to send one ‘beat-up survey form’ with your final maintenance claim. Read the beat-up survey guide before completing. You should:
- complete the beat-up survey during the 2024 growing season, and any replacements planted in the winter (and before the claim is submitted by 31 March)
- submit one beat-up survey with your final maintenance claim
We can only accept one beat-up survey per final maintenance claim. This should be collated and submitted by the lead local authority.
You can also request a beat-up survey form from LATF@forestrycommission.gov.uk.
Claims due in 2024-25 will not be paid if they are submitted after 31 March 2025.
You must submit claims during the submission period. Read more about when you can apply.
