The guidance contains best practice on:

  • security threats
  • station, terminus and interchange security
  • vehicle and depot security
  • building and sustaining a security culture
  • cross-border operations
  • training and exercising
  • increased threat level security enhancements

This guidance replaces the third edition released in July 2018.

This guidance will be updated to reflect any factual changes or changes in best practice.

There is also guidance on security measures to prevent commercial vehicles from being used as weapons in acts of terrorism and serious and organised crime.
