On 1 to 2 December 2025, the UK and Saudi Arabia hosted their third Strategic Dialogue on international development and humanitarian assistance. Both countries announced new joint humanitarian projects in Yemen and Bangladesh, to tackle food insecurity and improve water access for over 1 million vulnerable people.
A Memorandum of Understanding signed between British International Investment and Saudi Eksab will enable further technical dialogue on innovative financing and longer-term co-investment opportunities. Both partners committed to joint advocacy and coordination on multilateral reforms, to make aid more effective and transparent.
This partnership reflects a modern approach to international development, combining resources and expertise to deliver life-saving impact where it matters most.
