Low risk waste position: storage

The Environment Agency has provided thisthese low risk waste positionpositions (LRWP)(LRWPs) for waste operations that it considersconsidered may be suitable for an exemption.

Details

If the Environment Agency provides a LRWP for an activity, you can carry it out without an environmental permit for a waste operation provided that you meet all the conditions.

The Environment Agency may review this LRWP. They may decide the activity is no longer suitable for a LRWP or that the conditions need changing. You must regularly check that the LRWP you are benefiting from is still in place.

LRWPs for storage that have been withdrawn

‘Storing waste sheep dip before collection for treatment or disposal: RPS 341’ replaced ‘Storing waste sheep dip before it’s collected for treatment or disposal: LRWP 68’.

‘Storing furnace bottom ash (FBA) at a dockside before export or after import: LWRP 27’ has been withdrawn as it is no longer needed.
