Connectivity Tool

What the tool does

The Connectivity Tool helps built environment professionals and others to understand the connectivity of places in England and Wales. You can use the tool to:

• display how any location in England and Wales is connected to everyday services by walking, driving, cycling and public transport
• plot new transport routes to understand how these would affect an area’s connectivity

There is also a limited version of the tool (Connectivity Tool Lite) that anyone can access.

Who can use the tool?

The toolConnectivity Tool is currently only available to peoplebuilt workingenvironment professionals in localthe public or centralprivate governmentsector.

What you need to use the tool

To use the toolConnectivity Tool you will need to: 

• have been granted access to the tool
• be signed into GOV.UK One Login

Your GOV.UK One Login must be under your work email address.

If you don’t have a GOV.UK One Login under your work email address, you will need to create one.

Start using the Connectivity Tool

If you are signed into GOV.UK One Login with a valid work email address, you can start using the tool.Iftool. If you are not signed in, you will be redirected to create or sign in to your GOV.UK One Login.

Connectivity Tool Lite - no registration needed

Connectivity Tool Lite is available to anyone without registration.

You can use Connectivity Tool Lite to see how any location in England and Wales is connected to everyday services by walking, driving, cycling and public transport.

It doesn’t include interactive features, such as plotting new transport routes.
