Who it’s for
To lead an industrial research and technology project, your organisation must:
- be a UK-registered business of any size for research projects
- carry out your aerospace research project work in the UK
- intend to exploit the results from or in the UK
- address the challenges outlined in UK’s
DestinationZero(UK’saerospace technology strategystrategy),– Destination Zero, that must include specific requirements set out in the ATI’s non-CO2 technologiestechnologyroadmap - sign up to the ATI framework agreement
- claim funding
Your business does not have to be registered with Companies House when you apply, but it must be registered before you can receive funding.
Your project can include partners that do not receive any of this competition’s funding, for example, non-UK businesses. Their costs will not count towards the total eligible project costs but must be included in your application.
More information on the different types of organisations can be found onin Innovateour UK’s (IUK) website under funding rules. We accept single applicant-ledapplicant led projects, though encourage collaborative project applications.

The bymaximum grant per project must be 60% or less of the ATItotal programme’soverall partnereligible organisations.

The ATI Non-CO2 ProgrammeIndividual ispartners athat 2-stageare competition: conducting commercial or economic activities as part of the project, which may include research organisations, can request grant funding of up to:

If your consortium contains more than one research organisation, this maximum will be shared between them. Of that 30% you could get funding for your eligible project costs of up to:
