These draft assessment procedures for heat network consumer heat systems detail the activities to be undertaken to provide assurance that the obligations in the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) Technical Specifications are fulfilled.  

A consumer heat system is the heating, cooling and/or hot water system within a consumer’s premises.

The documents are for use by:

  • heat network assessors
  • heat network developers
  • heat network designers
  • heat network operators

We will be requesting feedback on the information in these documentsdocuments. shortly. We will run a change management process in parallel with the the HNTAS technical technical standards consultation which launchescloses at midday on 1615 DecemberApril 2025.2026.

We will make final versions of these documents available before the scheme starts.
