Multi-Sport Grassroots Facilities Programme projects: 2025 to 2026

Details of funding for multi-sport grassroots facilities projects in 2025 to 2026.

The Multi-Sport Grassroots Facilities Programme is delivering funding to make essential facility improvements, so that communities have high-quality pitches to play on.

The Multi-Sport Grassroots Facilities Programme is investing £98 million in 2025/26 to support facilities across the whole of the UK.

This programme provides funding to make essential facility improvements, so that communities have high-quality pitches to play on, building on investment from previous years. This is a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to providing people across the United Kingdom with opportunities to get active.

Successful projects 2025 to 2026

£98 million has been committed in the financial year 2025 to 2026, to a range of projects that aim to deliver improved facilities in deprived areas, support multi-sport use and increase participation among currently under-represented groups. Increasing participation in under-represented groups focuses primarily on women and girls, disabled players and those in deprived areas.

Please note that the project lists below are provided by DCMS’s delivery partners, and the information may change as the projects develop. For example, a project may withdraw from the programme, or rolling investment might mean further projects are added in future. The spreadsheets will be updated where needed to reflect these changes.

England

In England, government funding is supporting 883 projects through the Football Foundation. This is complemented by partner investment from the English FA and the Premier League. These locally led projects are helping to make the Local Football Football Facility Plans a reality, and to take us one step closer to delivering the pitches every community needs.

The list below shows the projects receiving funding in the financial year 2025 to 2026. This list is not exhaustive. As this is a rolling investment programme in England, further projects may receive funding as the year progresses.
