Register and pay for exemptions to store, treat, use or dispose of waste. Deregister exemptions you no longer need and update details that have changed.

When you register in the service, you can pay online with a debit or credit card.
You can also pay by bank transfer.
Exemptions are valid for 3 years from when you register.

Deregistering or updating
To deregister an exemption or update your contact details you need:
- your waste exemption (WEX) registration number
number - the email address you used to register the exemption

Charities and T28 exemptions exemptions
RegistrationExemptions and exemptions are free if you are a charity. To qualifybe as a charity, all of your organisationorganisation’s aims and purposes must workbe exclusively charitable. Your organisation must also operate for athe charitablepublic purpose. benefit.

It’s free to register a T28 waste exemption. You must be authorised under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001.
